Until I get the hang of this blogging... my phone pics will have to do.... Enjoy
Aloha B, I acknowledge that I haven't been blogging everyday. Here is my past week in Review:
I'll start of with today and work my way back:
Wednesday: We have all been home still in our pajamas, sniffling throughout the house. Jonah stayed home from school today. Even though he seems to feel great.
Tuesday: Today was Micalynn's b-day and Jonah picked out a lil gift for her and wrapped it himself, along with a hand written card. We joined my PLD team at Sea Breeze restaurant at Hickam to bid adieu to Maria and Tony, they are leaving for San Diego next Tuesday. It was a wonderful time seeing almost everyone one there. Misty and Brannan brought baby Rachel and she is so adorable...big cheeks to smoosh too:) The restaurant was by the ocean so that didn't help with the sniffling bebes, now I got the sniffles too:) Earlier in the day I went to the CYTP to apply for the 10 hours free deployment childcare and they are awaiting Chief Hill's input. apparently you orders do not state deployed to Iraq...arrr I did some heavy duty weeding while listening to some old lovers rock reggae. So much so that I am sore all throughout my arms. Ooh Rah:)
Monday: Went to hourly Childcare on base to sign up. I saw Mia there riding around in a wagon with a friend. Rinnah & I went over to ASYMCA and to my surprise there was a 'learn with me' play morning class going on celebrating Children's day aka Boy's Day. They made beautiful Koi wind socks for the craft. We missed out:( Rinnah enjoyed Aunty Carolyn. She's da best! It reminded me of the playmorning with Brooke Lynne. So many songs in Hawaiian and dancing. She loved it. We listened to the story "I Like Me" it's adorable, I'd like to get it for her one of these days. Jonah would've loved it too. The ASYMCA has so many activities now, more than when I used to take Jonah. Now I know what I can do with Rinnah as far as mind stimulation. So far watching me pull weeds seems to entertain her along with the nursery rhymes i sing:) Oh we also bought groceries, the doggies had no food and after picking up Jonah at school, we headed to Daie to see if we could locate a Koi windsock/kite to celebrate Boy's day... no luck, Jonah found a Digimon Data Squad character named, Gaogamon instead. He picked out a cute dolphin charm for Micalynn's b-day present. I bought stuff to make a Koi kite. It was also Cinco de Mayo... I wanted to do the craft with Jonah and make it a Mexican night.... no luck I passed out in exhaustion... we all slept early. Jonah gave himself a bath & brushed his own teeth.. what a big boy eh?
Sunday: I finally have a clean lanai, thanks to Mark (next door) for helping me set up the bouncy house. Did I tell you how much I love it. Great idea Bebe! We had dinner with the Dejesus' and Sewa's. It was interesting that all of our Daddy's are far away in Iraq, etc. We swam at the pool and enjoyed some Hawaiian pizza, mac n cheese, garlic shrimp & mushrooms, salad. Thank you to Nat for bringing yummy corn, POG juice and chocolate gram cookies. We also had rockyroad and vanilla ice cream and fruit snacks for dessert. It was a feast. Jonah and Alec were pretty confident in the water now. Jonah is swimming in the deep end with no goggles and a remembers to swim to the sides... kinda scary when I'm not in the pool coz, Queena Rinnah doesn't want to go in. Jonah insists on pulling his bogieboard instead of swimming on it. Kaya's so tall she walks in the shallow end and I think Kassaundra's ready for swimming, she did really well on the kick board. It was also Kriz's b-day. i left him a v/m.
Saturday: Oh what an adventure, we dropped off the van to get an oil change and walked back. Jonah was in the stroller & I carried Rinnah in a front facing carrier. We picked up lunch at Down to Earth and made our way home. On the way we bought, mini megaman figures (jonah), Maracas (Rinnah), and Sunglasses (me) all on sale at Dawns. They are going out of business. Enjoyed some limeade & strawberade from the kids selling in the neighborhood. Pretty good. it was a hot day. Rinnah fell asleep and Jonah was a great helper holding on to all of our treasures. We made it home and ate our lunch outside on the bench Mock ham sandwich and drank our Acai juice. Jonah finished his blueberry yogurt on the way. Chelsia, (chelsiacleaning@yahoo.com (808)722-4697) the best cleaning lady was there shortly to help with the cleaning/ organizing my chaos. Can you believe she made our 20yr old bath fixtures shine. i called up the Agcaoili's for a ride back to Firestone. there was no way I was going to do that walk again...ahh... Levi is so cute, Isaiah is so grown. I love his hair. they just bought a new place and were cleaning up the town home for renting. So if you know anyone that wants to live out in Waimanalo 3b/1 a half bath for $2,500 forward them to Tony. It was great to see Josie. We left for the bank while Chelsia cleaned to take out $ for her, she was here longer than the 6 hours she planned on. $20/hr what a great deal. After the bank we recycled at Aikahi and stayed a bit before we got rained out... oh my.. good thing I parked close...we would've been soaked.
Friday: We (minus Rinnah) had a picnic with the Dejesus' at the super playground. Thank you Aileen for the Adobo and Rice. We brought Haupia (from Tanea), orange slices and grapes. It was fun to play chase Jonah and swing on the swings with him baby free. Thanks to the Spooners, Tanea picked up Rinnah with I got some stuff done and was supposed to get a massage. I missed my massage... arrgh! I just visited Pat, got an adjustment, bought a bottle of Goyin and enjoyed a lil lunch at the Japanese place across the street. Some QT for me... i love the Spooners. We picked up Rinnah and met their new pup Poppy, he's cute with his underbite:) We watched Catch & Release while Jonah played with Dylan & Maddy. Good time with my BFF:)
Thursday: Today was Lei Day (I got lei'd) & Aileen's B-day, I forgot:( I remembered when I was driving her around for errands coz I got kicked out of the preschool until 11 am for the field trip. doh... We met up for lunch at Bale (I bought some Pho and a Vietnamese sandwich and had Thai tea with boba and Chocolate cake to sing Happy B-day to Aileen to, I'm happy i got to spend time with them, I don't see them very often) after Jonah's preschool field trip to the Recycling Ctr. It was so exciting for them there seemed to be an endless to the cans and bottles. They each got to step up and deposit cans/ bottles themselves. Pressed the ticket and picked up the cash... It was so cute, they sang their We Recycle song to them there. Afterwards I did more weeding while Rinnah napped. Picked up Jonah, he requested Old Mac Donald's, so we went there and he played at their play center, came home walked the doggies, Jonah rode his bike (never again will I do that by myself) lol:)
Wednesday: I awoke to 'Mommy I shesheed in you bed' ahhh... that's how we got up early. Everyone had a bath and I did laundry. I did a no no:) I rode the kids (both) on the bike. Jonah was in the bike seat & I had Rinnah in the carrier facing front. We went very slow I assure you. After school we had Rairai Ramen yummy! fed the ducks at the park (Jonah rode his scooter) and I accomplished more yard work...yay! (around 2am I awoke to some local braddah yelling and banging on cars, trashcans, I called the cops to investigate)
